We handle the logistics of your procedure day so you can focus on recovery instead of worrying about transportation or being alone.
Depending on your needs, our services may include:
Round‑trip transportation: Driving you to your appointment (when arranged in advance) and bringing you safely home afterward.
Safe arrival and settling‑in: Helping you from the vehicle into your home and supporting safe movement as you get comfortably settled.
Following your provider’s instructions: Remaining with you for the length of time your doctor or clinic recommends for post‑procedure observation and support.
Whether you need help getting to your appointment, getting through the front door, or having a responsible adult with you because your provider requires it, we are there to support your safety and peace of mind.
Uber and Lyft are a great option when transportation is the only need. Our service is designed for people who need support beyond the drive home. We help bridge the gap between discharge and getting comfortably settled at home, which can be especially important after sedation or certain procedures.
Our role is to make the day go smoothly — from picking you up after your procedure to getting you home, settled in, and comfortable. We're trained, background-checked, and experienced in supporting people through recovery, so you're in good hands for that part of the day. We're not nurses or doctors, but we know what to watch for, and if anything comes up during your recovery that needs medical input, we'll engage your care team directly so you don't have to manage it on your own. And of course, in a true emergency, we'll call 911 right away.
Transportation is only one part of the service. You're also receiving support from discharge through the initial recovery period at home. The goal is to provide peace of mind during a time when many people are not feeling their best and may need an extra set of hands.
In many cases, yes. We accept HSA and FSA cards, but each plan has its own rules about what expenses qualify for coverage. Because those rules vary, we recommend checking with your plan administrator if you're unsure whether the service is eligible.
Home care is usually longer-term help with day-to-day living. We are focused on the day of your procedure and the first part of recovery after you get home.
That’s up to you. Some people prefer their own car since it’s familiar, and others would rather we drive them home in ours. Either one works for us — we just need to know ahead of time so we can make the right arrangements for the day.
Here's how it works, start to finish:
You let us know you'd like to schedule a ride — a call, text, or message gets us going.
We email you a link to our intake forms. You fill them out online, including a limited HIPAA release so we can talk to your doctor's office about your discharge instructions and timing.
With those details, we build a care plan just for you and send it over with an estimate.
If it looks good, you sign the agreement electronically.
We ask for pre-payment by credit card or electronic check. If the final cost comes in under the estimate, we refund the difference within 3 business days. If it runs over, we email you an invoice for the difference, due when you get it.
That's it — no paperwork to chase down in person, and someone on our team is with you at every step.
Your safety is the reason we're here. We carefully screen and background check our care attendants, communicate what to expect ahead of time, and help support you during the period when you are recovering from sedation or a procedure.
You’ll never be left guessing. Every care attendant on our team is trained for this kind of visit and has been background checked. We share who is coming ahead of time, so you know their name and a little about them before they walk in.
We hire experienced, professional care attendants — people who've already spent time taking care of others — because that kind of judgment can't be taught in a classroom. From there, we train them specifically for the kind of care you'll need: safely helping you move in and out of the car, getting you comfortably settled at home, knowing what to watch for as you recover, and recognizing when something needs your doctor's attention. They're calm, they're patient, and they know how to make a recovery day feel a little easier. Every care attendant is background-checked and meets our standards before they're ever matched with a client.
You should feel comfortable with the person helping you. If something doesn't feel right, tell us right away and we'll work with you to address the situation. Your comfort and trust matter.
Most people don't want their personal information or recovery details shared, and that's completely understandable. Your information is kept confidential and only shared when necessary to coordinate your care or communicate with the people you've authorized.
That's completely understandable. Many of our clients are independent people who simply need temporary support after a procedure. The care attendant is there to help when needed while respecting your privacy, routines, and personal space.

We help with the practical parts of recovery that can be difficult after a procedure. That may include transportation, pharmacy stops, getting settled at home, light meal preparation, mobility assistance, medication reminders, and other non-medical support. Your recovery plan determines exactly what services are included.
Our service is the everyday side, not medical care. That means we don’t give medications, do anything clinical, give medical advice, or stand in for a doctor or nurse. What we do is the practical side: getting you home safely, helping you settle in, and being nearby while you rest.
The answer depends on your doctor's discharge instructions. Some procedures only require transportation home, while others require a responsible adult to remain with you for a period of time after discharge. We follow those instructions and provide the level of support your doctor requires, whether that's a safe ride home, help getting settled, or remaining with you during the early stages of recovery.
Your doctor's discharge instructions determine what support is needed after your procedure. In many cases, a spouse, family member, friend, or other trusted adult can fulfill that requirement. When that support isn't available, Clinic to Couch Care™ can step in and provide the responsible adult presence needed to help you get home safely and recover according to your physician's instructions.
Visit length depends on your procedure, what your doctor sent home with you, and whether someone else will be at home afterward. Some visits are short, some are longer. Someone on our team will walk through it with you ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect.
Our pricing is simple: it’s based on how long you need us and where you live. Someone on our team will give you the full price up front before anything is booked, so you know what to expect. No hidden fees, no surprise charges.

Because most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, don't cover rides and help getting settled at home, we don't work with insurance. That said, a small number of plans do cover this kind of care, so it's worth a quick call to yours to see where they stand. If you'd like to try to get paid back, we'll do what we can to help. Typically that means we'll give you an itemized receipt with the medical codes your insurance needs (sometimes called a superbill), and your doctor can write a short note explaining why the care was needed. You'd send both to your insurance, and they'd let you know what they can cover. Whatever they decide, we'll make sure you have what you need to make the case.
Two business days, though sooner is always better. Booking in advance gives us time to confirm availability, coordinate with your doctor's office on timing, and avoid any additional fees. We can sometimes accommodate shorter-notice requests when our schedule allows, and we'll always be upfront about any additional fees before you commit.
Changes and reschedules are part of life — your procedure gets pushed, your prep doesn't go as planned, or something else comes up. Just give us a call as soon as you know and we'll move your visit to the new date at no charge, as long as we have at least 24 hours notice. Someone on our team will walk through anything else that matters for your new date.
Procedure days do not always run on time, so we expect some delays. If things are running behind, we adjust the plan as needed and stay in communication so you are not left wondering what happens next.
We help bridge the gap between discharge and recovery at home. Our care attendant meets the patient at pickup, takes them home, helps them get settled, and remains with them as required by their discharge instructions. This gives your team a reliable option when a patient needs more than transportation alone.
Referrals are designed to be easy on your team. Once we have the patient's basic information, procedure details, and expected discharge requirements, we coordinate scheduling, communication, and service delivery directly with the patient or their family.
